Loads of Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter fear an exit for Harry Kane could be edging closer following the club’s cup humiliation against Colchester United on Tuesday night.

It marked the end of a bad week for Spurs in which they gave up leads against Olympiacos and Leicester City – losing the latter.

The England international wasn’t even involved for the penalty shoot-out defeat in Essex having been rested by Mauricio Pochettino, but their elimination means the north London outfit have one less opportunity to end their trophy drought this term.

Kane has been loyal to his employers and only signed a new long-term deal worth £10m-a-year last summer, but now Spurs supporters fear their talisman will look to leave the club following a tough start to the 2019/20 season in which they are already 10 points adrift of Premier League leaders Liverpool.

The centre-forward, rated at £135m by Transfermarkt, will surely get to the stage in his career where he wants to win trophies, and it remains to be seen whether the 26-year-old will be able to achieve those aims in the short-term at least at Tottenham.

Pochettino’s bizarre comments post-match on Tuesday suggest they may need to do some major rebuilding in January and next summer, too.

While one individual predicted the prolific striker will “be gone next summer”, another simply said “say goodbye to Kane”.

وقال السيد في تصريحات تلفزيونية بفضائية “تن” عبر برنامج “البريمو”: “محمد عبد المنصف في أفضل حالاته خلال الوقت الحالي”.

وأضاف: “هو حارس مرمى دولي يمتلك الخبرة، وعدم انضمامه لمنتخب مصرلا يقلل منه، الجميع يتفق الفترة الحالية أن محمد الشناوي هو الحارس رقم واحد ولكن ليس بمسافات بعيدة، مستواه قريب من محمود جنش ومحمد أبو جبل وجاد وشريف إكرامي وعامر عامر ومحمد بسام ومحمد صبحي، وكلهم قادرين على التواجد مع المنتخب”.

وأردف: “لا أظن أن السن هو معيار انضمام الحراس لمنتخب مصر، لأن الحارس كلما يزيد سنه يتطور مستواه، وشاهدنا ذلك مع عبد المنصف في الفترة الحالية وقبله عصام الحضري”.

وأتم: “جنش اكتسب خبرات كبيرة مع الزمالك وأبو جبل من قبله، وكذلك شريف إكرامي ومحمد صبحي، لكن أكثرهم خبرة محمد الشناوي”.

أعرب وليد مصطفى ناشئ النادي الأهلي، عن سعادته بتشبيهه باللاعب وليد سليمان، موجهًا الشكر للجهاز الفني للمارد الأحمر بقيادة بيتسو موسيماني على تصعيده للتدريب مع الفريق الأول.

وقال وليد مصطفى في تصريحات تلفزيونية عبر فضائية “إم بي سي مصر” ببرنامج “اللعيب”: “شرف كبير لأي لاعب أن يكون خليفة وليد سليمان في المستقبل، هذه دفعة قوية لي، وهو مثلي الأعلى”.

وأضاف: “أتدرب مع الفريق الأول منذ ثلاثة أشهر، وأجتهد لتطوير نفسي لكي أدخل حسابات موسيماني”.

وواصل صاحب الـ20 عامًا: “لم أذهب للامتحانات من أجل الأهلي، الدراسة ستعوض لكن التدريب مع الفريق الأول فرصة العمر ولا تأتي إلا مرة واحدة”.

واستكمل: “ألعب في الأهلي منذ 7 سنوات، وأحب أن أشكر موسيماني وسيد عبد الحفيظ لمنحهما تلك الفرصة للاعبين الصغار، جددت عقدي مع القلعة الحمراء لمدة 5 سنوات، وشرف لأي لاعب أن يكون جزءً من هذا الكيان”.

وأتم: “تلقيت عروضًا للإعارة من أندية بالدوري الممتاز هذا الموسم، ولكن أغلقت هذه الصفحة، وتركيزي حاليًا مع الفريق الأول”.

And one man who certainly seems to care about what others think of him in the game is Allan Saint-Maximin.

The Frenchman somewhat jokingly took offence to a fan saying that he cost too much in the game, and he responded to him on Twitter.

With none of his usual emojis, Saint-Maximin’s response of ‘Don’t say that dude’ seems to come from a place of genuine disappointment that the fan thought he was overpriced.

We can imagine the winger searching his name in on Twitter to see if anyone has anything nice to say about his FIFA card after this, and we sincerely hope that he finds something to cheer him up before the clash against Manchester United this weekend.

وأضاف: “ليس من المفترض أن نضم النني للمشاركة أساسيًا فقط كحال جميع المحترفين، منتخب مصر يستدعي لاعبيه وأنا من يحدد اللاعب يشارك أو لا، المحترف وارد أن ينضم لمنتخب مصر، ولا يشارك هذا حق أصيل لأي مدير فني، ومن الممكن إلا ينضم نهائيًا، وهذا حدث من قبل”.

واستكمل: “تصرف النني بترك شارة القيادة لمحمد صلاح ممتاز، الشارة بالأقدمية، والنني وصلاح أقدميتهما واحدة، وتصرف النني كان فرديًا وغير متفق عليه”.

واستطرد: “شارة كابتن منتخب مصر حاليًا بالأقدمية، ووارد في المستقبل أن يحدث أي شيء”.

وتابع: “باب منتخب مصر ليس مغلقًا أمام عمرو وردة، كل الظروف يتم مناقشتها ودراستها ونرى احتياجاتنا، والباب مفتوح أمام كل اللاعبين، وعلى الكل أن يكون جاهزًا”.

واختتم: “لا يوجد لدي أزمة بشأن تصريح من أي لاعب، وأقول له أجتهد ولا تختار نفسك لكي تنضم للمنتخب، اترك الاختيار للمدير الفني”.

Traore seems to be happy with fact that he’s been upgraded to a rating of 80 rather than his original 74.

There’s a lot for the winger to be happy about with his stats as well. The pace rating of 97 makes him the fastest player in the game.

It seems as if this upgrade will spur the Spaniard on to improve even further, as he says that he will keep working hard to be the best that he can be.

Alfie McCalmont and Mateusz Bogusz earned first-team debuts this term while there were ten individuals under the age of 21 to be given minutes by the 64-year-old as of last January.

The Argentine hasn’t been shy to bring those into the senior side that are ready and what’s helping to bridge the gap is Carlos Corberan.

One of Bielsa’s assistants, he’s in charge of the U23 side and led the youth team through an initial five-game unbeaten run at the start of the season.

They’ve since been halted in their tracks somewhat after defeats against Hull and Crewe but with Ryan Edmondson in their ranks, a player who scored a hat-trick for the first team in pre-season, things could soon turnaround.

Winger Stuart McKinstry made an impression earlier this season against Watford and was involved in the attacking phases on a regular basis but the former Motherwell man may soon have competition.

That’s courtesy of a player that could provide Corberan with a dilemma in wide positions and also centrally.

That happens to be Morten Spencer, a 16-year-old prodigy who has just recently received his first call-up for Norway at youth level – something that comes after previously representing England.

Described as a “very talented” player by his mother Lunde Spencer when he was at Sunderland, her son has the capabilities to play on the left wing as well as in central midfield, another area blessed with fine talent at Leeds.

To name a few, the U23 side boasts not only McCalmont and Bogusz in that area of the pitch but also Robbie Gotts.

Leeds fought off competition for his signature when they first welcomed him to the club. Manchester City were reportedly sniffing around as Pep Guardiola gave strict instructions to his scouts to find homegrown talent.

However, Spencer rejected the advances of the Spaniard with his mother citing the lack of opportunities that might have been available.

She told TV2 in February: “Eventually, we have felt that City is such a big club with quite a few talents that are gradually being loaned out. That’s why we’ve looked at other alternatives.”

Whether that turns out to be a sensible move only remains to be seen but he’s certainly capable of playing above his age.

After winning the Esposende Cup with the U16s he’s since been playing for Mark Jackson’s U18s.

Another 16-year-old in Nohan Kenneh played for the first team over pre-season and has since been on the bench for the U23s so it’s certainly feasible the same could happen with Spencer.

If he continues to work his way up the ladder, Corberan will have to consider him.

واختتم: “بناءً على الواقع لن يشارك كانتي أمام بورتو في مباراة الذهاب، ربما يشارك في الإياب، سنرى”.

They make some convincing points.

It’s no secret that Nottingham Forest are having to rely a lot on Lewis Grabban to get their goals this season but don’t have a convincing back-up option, thus necessitating the need for him to be well-rested between games.

Quite out of the blue though, one Nottingham Forest fan had a bit of a brainwave on how to solve the problem, and he put it to the fans to make up their own minds.

Britt Assombalonga certainly was a hit at the City Ground, even if they didn’t manage to have any success with him. Although with a record of 30 goals in 69 games, I don’t think you can really blame him for Forest’s troubles. However, despite that impressive goal return, something he has kept up whilst at his current club Middlesbrough with a record better than a goal every 3 games, it seems as though Forest fans weren’t too keen to take him back.

Whilst him coming back on a free seems highly unlikely, given that he’s valued at £9m and left for £15m, it does at least give an insight into what Forest fans think about the transfer as a whole, and why they may never accept him back whatever the circumstances. That’s that hypothetical argument settled then.
