Nos bastidores, alguns nomes já são dados como certos fora do Flamengo em 2016, como o zagueiro Marcelo, o meia Almir e o atacante Everton. Apenas este último tem contrato longo e será negociado. A proposta do Tianjin Songjiang, da China, comandado por Vanderlei Luxemburgo, é analisada com muita atenção pelos dirigentes. A cúpula da Gávea espera terminar todo o trabalho de diagnóstico para anunciar a barca de uma vez só – a tendência é que seja ainda em 2015.
Por outro lado, quem era considerado carta fora do baralho e está para ganhar chance com Muricy Ramalho é o atacante Marcelo Cirino. O jogador, por conta de envolvimento em episódio de indisciplina no chamado “Bonde da Stella”, perdeu a força entre os dirigentes, mas o novo treinador acredita que ele possa receber nova oportunidade e desenvolver um bom futebol – vale lembrar que Cirino foi um alto investimento do Flamengo, custando aproximadamente R$ 17 milhões.

O Flamengo se reapresenta em 2016 no dia 6 de janeiro, seguindo na sequência para Mangaratiba, local inicial da pré-temporada.

Restando o duelo de deste domingo, o Corinthians é quem mais levou torcedores às arquibancadas, em média. São 33.636 pagantes por jogo em casa. A certeza de que o Timão fechará o Brasileirão como líder no quesito se deve a dois fatores. Não bastasse a promessa de casa cheia diante do Avaí, os principais concorrentes não ameaçam mais o Alvinegro: o Flamengo (31.897) recebe o Palmeiras no Maracanã em duelo que não vale nada para nenhum dos envolvidos. Não há expectativa de público abaixo da média; o Palmeiras (29.633) já realizou todos os jogos como mandante, então não terá alteração em seus números.

Mais do que liderar o ranking no Brasileirão de 2015, o Corinthians conseguirá outro feito: sua maior média de público na era dos pontos corridos. Desde 2003, o Timão foi o “campeão das arquibancadas” em 2004, 2005, 2010, 2011 e 2012, sendo a campanha do penta, em 2011, a recordista, com 29,3 mil pagantes.

O grande trunfo do Corinthians para atingir tamanha média em 2015 é não apenas a vitoriosa campanha da equipe mas também a Arena. Pela primeira vez, o Timão disputou um Brasileirão inteiro mandando jogos em Itaquera. A exceção foi na segunda rodada, quando, punido, recebeu a Chapecoense em Araraquara.

Ou seja, hexa garantido à parte, cabe aos jogadores premiarem a também campeã Fiel com mais uma vitória digna do líder do Brasileirão.

LÍDER NA GRANA TAMBÉM

Além do público, o Timão pode comemorar o fato de ser o clube que mais arrecadou com bilheteria no Brasileirão de 2015. Até aqui, foram R$ 36.060.871 de renda bruta, contra R$ 35.294.667 do “vice” Palmeiras.

As cinco categorias do futebol de base do Santos entram em campo neste fim de semana em busca de títulos ou de uma vaga na decisão do Campeonato Paulista. Depois de não alcançar nenhuma vitória nos confrontos da semana passada, os Meninos da Vila precisam reverter desvantagens para seguir sonhando. O empate só permite o êxito no sub-13.

Neste fim de semana, o Santos entra em campo em todas as divisões de base para manter o sonho de ser o primeiro da história a ser campeão em todas as categorias na mesma temporada.

Até hoje, na história, houve apenas cinco coincidências entre campeões paulistas da categoria principal e dos juniores: 1987 (São Paulo), 1997 (Corinthians), 2000 (São Paulo), 2007 (Santos) e 2012 (Santos). Porém, nenhum desses clubes conseguiu repetir a façanha entre os juvenis, já que não houve disputa do sub-17 em 1987 e 1997 e os campeões das temporadas seguintes foram Paulista de Jundiaí, Corinthians e Desportivo Brasil.

Duelo pela volta será neste sábado, às 16h, no CT do rival, na cidade de Jarinu. Sub-20, com Pepinho e Marcos, tem 18 vitórias, quatro empates e cinco derrotas, com 51 gols marcados e 21 sofridos. O Paulistão, aliás, é a única competição em que o Peixe ainda está vivo, pois não foi longe na Copinha, na Copa do Brasil e no Brasileiro Sub-20. Empate dá vaga ao Red Bull.

A number of Liverpool fans have hailed Kevin De Bruyne as a deserving winner of the Premier League Player of the Season.

Sky Sports reported that the 29-year-old Manchester City midfielder had scooped the prize ahead of Reds trio Jordan Henderson, Sadio Mane and Trent Alexander-Arnold, who had also been shortlisted, despite Pep Guardiola’s side finishing 18 points adrift of the champions in 2019/20.

De Bruyne registered a mammoth 20 assists in the league last season, seven more than the next highest player on the list (Alexander-Arnold, as per premierleague.com), as well as netting 13 goals in the division, including one against Liverpool in Man City’s 4-0 win at the start of July.

In 2017/18, when the Etihad Stadium outfit romped to the Premier League title with a 100-point haul, Reds winger Mohamed Salah was named Player of the Season after a 44-goal campaign which included 32 in the English top flight.

These Liverpool fans on Twitter felt that the “outstanding” De Bruyne “has been immense” for City and was a worthy winner of the individual accolade, with some Reds critical of a report in Manchester Evening News which claimed that Kopites were fuming over the Belgian’s recognition:

أعلن مدرب فريق أستون فيلا دين سميث خبرًا سيئًا عن اللاعب المصري محمود حسن تريزيجيه، فيما يتعلق بمدة غيابه عن الملاعب بسبب الرباط الصليبي.

وكان اللاعب المصري محمود حسن تريزيجيه قد تعرض لقطع في الرباط الصليبي في شهر أبريل الماضي، وخضع لعملية جراحية بعد ذلك.

وأنعش تريزيجيه آمال جماهير أستون فيلا في إمكانية عودته سريعًا إلى الملاعب، حيث نشر صورًا له في أغسطس الماضي في صالة الألعاب الرياضية.

ولكن دين سميث أجهض تلك الآمال بعدما صرح في مؤتمر صحفي اليوم بإمكانية غياب محمود حسن تريزيجيه عن مباريات أستون فيلا حتى نهاية العام الحالي.

وظهر دين سميث في مؤتمر صحفي اليوم قبل مباراة الغد المرتقبة ضد إيفرتون، في الجولة الخامسة من الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز.

وصرَح دين سميث بأن هناك إمكانية لاستمرار غياب تريزيجيه عن أستون فيلا حتى نهاية هذا العام، حيث أنه لم يتعاف تمامًا من الإصابة.

وأكد دين سميث على أن تريزيجيه لا يزال في طور التأهيل من إصابة الرباط الصليبي، التي عانى منها أمام ليفربول في الموسم الماضي من الدوري الإنجليزي.

The Croatia international joined the Lilywhites from Dinamo Zagreb for a then club-record fee of £16.5m, and he went on to become one of the most influential Spurs midfielders of the Premier League era.

The diminutive play-maker featured 160 times in his stay with the club, scoring 17 times and providing a further 27 assists, and was of course part of the Spurs team that enjoyed an impressive Champions League run in the 2010/2011 campaign.

Modric would then eventually leave north London to join Spanish giants Real Madrid, where he has established himself as one of the world’s best, winning the Ballon d’Or and helping Los Blancos lift multiple Champions League titles.

With confirmation of his arrival at Spurs coming on April 26, Spurs fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts about their former star.

Having put pen to paper on a new deal at Anfield in the build-up to the clash against Watford, Liverpool midfielder James Milner would have been cloud nine. His future at the reigning Champions League holders is secured for the time being, and he can simply look forward to winning as many trophies as he can.

The one thing that perhaps has worked against in his time in the Premier League, is his versatility. The 33-year-old has played in a variety of different positions, with goalkeeper and centre-back appearing to be the only notable absences in his repertoire according to Transfermarkt. And on Saturday lunchtime, the veteran was asked to fill in at left-back once again, with first-choice Andy Robertson being left on the bench as Jurgen Klopp tried his best to keep players as fresh as possible for the busy Christmas schedule.

And whilst he has played there 45 times already, he struggled somewhat against the Hornets, with Ismaila Sarr’s pace and trickery giving him a tough defensive test. But perhaps surprisingly, it was his game going forward that let him down the most. As per Sofascore, he failed to complete both of his attempted crosses, and lost possession 13 times over the course of the game. After seeing his disappointing display, Liverpool fans took to Twitter to voice their frustrations with the 33-year-old.

A couple of fans criticised him for his positional sense when playing at left-back, with one supporter in particular lambasting it as simply “horrible”.

Another couple of Reds supporters felt Milner was sleeping, and urged him to wake up and step up the intensity.

At 33, and not in his natural position, Milner simply does a job whenever he’s asked to play at left-back. Klopp will surely be aware it’s not a particularly long-term solution, and the fact he had to bring on Robertson during the second-half appeared to under-line the veteran’s struggles. But having gotten the win, that is all that will matter to the Liverpool boss.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are interested in signing this ace who shone against them in the Champions League.

Ben Davies was given the captain’s armband for Tottenham Hotspur’s clash with Everton at the weekend.

That’s the Ben Davies who had made three Premier League appearances prior to the game, with two of those adding up to 16 minutes of action.

Of course, one can argue that Mauricio Pochettino’s hands were tied. Hugo Lloris is injured and ruled out until 2020 while Harry Kane suffered from a virus that ruled him out of the game at Goodison Park.

Nevertheless, Davies’ pick shines a rather unfortunate light on the depth at the club and the lack of alternative leaders.

Paulo Gazzaniga has only just come into the team; Serge Aurier would have been a disgrace of a selection due to his spate of Spurs calamities; Davinson Sanchez is perhaps too young while Toby Alderweireld’s contract expires in the summer and handing him the armband could have been seen as a message of acquiescence; Tanguy Ndombele is a new signing; Moussa Sissoko is excellent but perhaps too erratic; Christian Eriksen hasn’t been at the races this term with just one goal and one assist to his name in the Premier League.

That leaves Heung-Min Son, Dele Alli and Lucas Moura. Son is the captain of South Korea and even wore the armband as his country beat Germany in the 2018 World Cup. He has worn that armband on 16 occasions, most recently in the 0-0 draw with bitter rivals North Korea.

Alli is an excellent player and has a mature head on his shoulders so he could well have worn the armband; so too could Lucas, who is 27 and has won multiple trophies throughout a storied career.

To pick Davies, though, is almost a dereliction of Pochettino’s duty. The armband is symbolic, of course, and this is not to say that a different selection could have changed the result as Spurs again dropped points on the road. They haven’t won away from home since January.

But picking Davies, a player who has never once captained either Spurs or Wales, ahead of someone like Son, a leader, a player who is also a game-changer, corrodes the meaning of the captaincy by suggesting anyone within the squad can wear the armband.

That could be seen as a meritocratic message but really, Pochettino has given the responsibility to a player who was woefully unequipped for it and it is little surprise that, as soon as Son was sent off after that horrendous injury to Andre Gomes, Spurs wilted.

Per WhoScored, Davies had 60 touches of the ball, had a pass success rate of just 50%, failed to win a tackle and was dispossessed on three occasions.

Spurs simply didn’t have a leader on the pitch; least of all Davies.

Divock Origi is quickly writing his name into Anfield folklore, with yet another vital contribution in the Carabao Cup win over Arsenal on Wednesday.

His chances have been sparse since joining the Reds for £10m, with only 48 starts, but he has often made the most of his opportunities of late, and his last-minute equaliser capped off another memorable night at Anfield, to add to his Barcelona double earlier this year.

The Belgian has become a reliable player for Klopp and big goals like those mentioned above, as well as the last-gasp winner against Everton last term, the late header at St James’ Park and his Champions League final strike have moulded him into a fan favourite.

Supporters have recognised his contribution and respect what he has done for the club, with one suggesting he is reaching cult hero status.

It is not just goals that he brings to the side, however, and he led the youngsters by example against the Gunners, performing well in several key areas of the pitch, as his stats from WhoScored show.

It was a frantic evening of football but Origi twice showed brilliant composure to bring his side back into the game, and he proved why he is seemingly Klopp’s first-choice back-up to the front three.

The striker first equalised with a great turn and strike before reacting well to Neco William’s last-minute cross, cleverly adjusting his body to volley the ball home.

Not many would be able to pull off such a feat but Origi seems to have a knack for it, and in doing so he has increased his popularity amongst the fanbase.

His manager won’t care too much about that, though, and instead Klopp will be impressed at the way he helped put the Reds on the front-foot, keeping the ball excellently throughout as well as creating chances for his teammates.

But ultimately it is Origi’s phenomenal tendency to pop up with vital goals at potentially season-defining moments – such as his last gasp volley on Wednesday – that he has become renowned for.

Sitting in the shadow of Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino is an immortalised cult hero for the Anfield faithful to cherish.
